Sigmoidoscope
Sigmoidoscope is an endoscopic instrument for diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations in the rectum and sigmoid colon. The instrument is equipped with a light source, an optical system, and also has an instrumental channel for biopsy and other minimally invasive interventions under visual control. In clinical practice, both flexible models and rigid sigmoidoscopes are used.
