About product

KL-5021A Enteral Feeding Pump

Brightfield KL-5021A is a compact single-channel peristaltic enteral feeding pump designed for controlled delivery of liquid nutritional formulas through nasogastric and nasoduodenal feeding tubes. Its compact format, independent battery operation and flexible installation make it suitable for use in hospitals, outpatient care and during patient transportation.

The KL-5021A supports both continuous and intermittent enteral feeding. The required feeding parameters can be programmed directly from the front control panel, while the display provides information about the current operating status and power supply.

Controlled Enteral Nutrition Delivery

The peristaltic pumping mechanism provides a controlled and consistent flow of nutritional formula through the enteral feeding set. The flow rate can be adjusted from 1 to 2000 ml/h, with selectable increments of 1, 5 or 10 ml/h.

The pump also supports programmed purge and bolus functions, as well as adjustable withdrawal and cleaning rates. The VTBI range is 1–9999 ml, allowing the required volume of enteral formula to be programmed according to the feeding plan.

Optional Fluid Warming

The KL-5021A can be equipped with an optional fluid warming module. The nutritional formula can be warmed to a selected temperature in the range of 30–37°C, with an over-temperature alarm. The warming module is integrated into the feeding workflow, so the solution is heated before being delivered to the patient through the feeding tube.

Monitoring and Safety Functions

The enteral feeding pump includes multiple monitoring and alarm functions for controlled operation. An ultrasonic air-in-line detector monitors the feeding line, while the system provides audible and visual alarms for conditions such as occlusion, air in the line, an open pump door, completion of the feeding program, low or depleted battery, power interruption, motor malfunction, system malfunction and tube dislocation.

The DPS dynamic pressure system detects pressure variations in the feeding line, providing additional information during operation. Three occlusion sensitivity levels — high, medium and low — can be selected according to the application.

Compact Design and Autonomous Operation

KL-5021A has a compact, lightweight design suitable for mobile clinical use. The pump can operate from an external power source or its built-in rechargeable battery, with up to 8 hours of battery operation at 100 ml/h. Compatibility with 12 V vehicle power also makes the device suitable for use during ambulance transportation.

The pump can be positioned using its mounting system, while the detachable charging base provides an additional option for installation and charging. The housing is rated IPX5 for protection against water ingress.

Data Storage and Convenient Control

The KL-5021A provides real-time information about the feeding process, including the infused volume. The system includes memory for recording operating events and allows the history log to be reviewed. Key-lock functionality helps prevent unintended changes to programmed parameters, while the mute function can be used to manage audible alerts.

Key Advantages of KL-5021A

  • Controlled enteral feeding — peristaltic delivery with a flow rate from 1 to 2000 ml/h.
  • Continuous or intermittent feeding — two feeding approaches for different enteral nutrition protocols.
  • Optional fluid warming — adjustable warming from 30 to 37°C with over-temperature protection.
  • Extended autonomous operation — up to 8 hours of battery operation at 100 ml/h.
  • Comprehensive line monitoring — ultrasonic air detection, DPS pressure monitoring and multiple alarm conditions.
